We Remove Scratches and Adhesives Safely from Stone Surfaces

Baker’s Floor and Surface restores marble wall at global law firm

Baker’s Floor and Surface had the privilege of working with one of the world’s leading global law firms, Baker Botts. Baker Botts was founded in 1840 and has approximately 725 lawyers practicing at their 14 offices worldwide. Specifically, Baker Botts is recognized for their work in the energy, technology, and life sciences sectors.

Baker Botts has a beautiful office in Palo Alto, California. We were called in to remove mastic from a 4-foot trim section of their marble reception wall. The wall had multiple signs that were attached with an adhesive. When the signs were removed, they left adhesive residue on the marble wall. In an attempt to remove the residue, the client tried to scrape the glue off. Unfortunately, this left the stone scratched.

We were able to remove the mastic and the scratches, transforming the marble wall back to its original luster and brilliance.

Marble is highly susceptible to adhesive stains. They typically arise as a result of some sort of adhesive tape, in this case mastic. When left on marble for a long period of time, the sticky residue leaves a dark appearance. This residue can collect dirt and eventually make the texture uneven. It takes special care to remove adhesive from marble without damaging the stone. Specific tools and materials are needed to do the job right.

At Baker’s Floor and Surface, we can remove all types of adhesives from any stone surface. Our stone technicians are highly knowledgeable and can help with scratch or adhesive removal. We arrive promptly and finish the job with minimal disturbance to your business.
