Restore your Stainless Steel Elevators and Keep Them Looking Great for Years

Baker’s refinishes elevator cab in Oakland high-rise building

Multi-level building owners and managers know their elevators need to be fully functioning in order to keep their building operating at full potential. Elevators are one of one of the first things customers and employees see when they enter a building and are in constant use throughout the day. They not only need to be safe and in perfect working order, they need to be visually pleasing. This means they are free of dents, dings, scratches, and everyday wear and tear.

Baker’s Floor and Metal was contracted to remove scratches and provide regular maintenance on an elevator cab at One Kaiser Plaza in Oakland. Before we began, we covered the project area with drop cloths. We used an abrasive technology to remove minor scratches and scuffs from the stainless steel finishes. Then, we feather grained to match the existing adjacent areas. We cleaned the cab using selected stainless steel cleaners, rinsed, and then applied a stainless steel micro-sealer to refinish, recondition, and preserve the surface area. This project took approximately one man day (8 hours) to complete. The stainless steel surfaces are now completely free of scratches and stains. Visitors and employees now enjoy a visually appealing elevator, scratch-free elevator.
