Marble Restoration in San Francisco Commercial Building
Marble is a beautiful and functional choice for flooring, walls, and surfaces. It can serve as an attractive statement piece or cover an entire space. As with any natural stone, marble requires maintenance to keep it looking beautiful. Over time, marble surfaces become scratched, etched, or damaged. Instead of replacing damaged stone, it’s much more cost-effective to restore and maintain the original surface.
Baker’s recently completed a marble restoration project at a commercial building in San Francisco. For this project, we honed (an abrasive deep scratch removal process) a 50- foot marble desk. Our expert technicians used a hand grinder to improve the surface texture. We finished with a polish that gave the marble shine and clarity. Through this process, we were able to transform the marble desk to its original beauty. The project took approximately 8 hours to complete.
Baker’s Floor and Surface has a distinctive stone restoration process that involves removing stains, scratches, and imperfections while maintaining the stone polish and allowing it to breathe. For each of our stone projects, we perform tests to determine the best restoration process. We use water tests and leak investigations to pinpoint holes in the stone. We also perform cosmetic and structural repairs. Additionally, we offer property managers and building owners a long-term maintenance plan that will help keep their stone looking beautiful over time.
To help keep costs down, we also offer in-house staff training to those who regularly clean your building. This allows you to keep your stone looking brilliant in between maintenance periods. For more information about how we can help you with stone restorations, give us a call today.
