Refinishing and Restoring Metal on All Types of Surfaces

Baker’s Floor and Surface recently refinishes metal staircase at San Jose school

Baker’s Floor and Surface specializes in all types of metal surface refinishing. Over time, all metals experience normal wear and tear. Some of the metals we work with only have small, cosmetic scratches or marks while other metals often need a complete facelift. When we restore metal, we refurbish and transform it, creating a beautiful, safe surface in your building or commercial space.

We recently completed a metal refinishing job at St. Patrick School in San Jose. This school first opened its doors in 1925 and has successfully educated thousands of students since its inception. The floors and staircases in this building experience high foot traffic on a daily basis. It’s important these surfaces are safe for the students and staff at the school. Baker’s was hired to refinish one of the school’s staircases. This process included stripping the metal staircase skid safety strips and removing the black oxidation. This removal process exposed the stair’s fresh metal. Once the stairs were clean and free of debris, we painted the black inside areas to create a uniformed finish and installed new skid safety strips.
