Grind & Seal Concrete for Durable and Long-Lasting Floors

Baker’s Floor and Metal refinishes concrete floors in San Francisco warehouse

Utilizing your subfloor as your flooring is a popular choice in warehouses, office complexes, and even historical buildings. Concrete is a durable, natural-looking surface with plenty of potential. Not only is it easy to clean and maintain, it can transform dull, lifeless concrete into a stunning space. But, this doesn’t happen with a simple sealer. It takes a professional to evaluate the space and work with the client to create a functional, long-lasting flooring solution.

Grinding and sealing is one of the best ways to finish your concrete floors. Concrete is the foundation of your room and requires the greatest care in grinding and the final sealing. This ensures it can withstand years of wear and tear.

Baker’s Floor and Metal recently completed a concrete grinding and sealing project at a large warehouse in San Francisco. We were able to transform the concrete in the 862 square foot space into a clean, functional, multi-purpose work area. For this project, we “grinded” the concrete to remove impurities and scratches on the surface layer of the concrete. After grinding, we used a topical sealer to protect the concrete. Sealing coats are typically made of epoxy, acrylic, or urethane. We finished the project with a high-speed burnish that provided depth of shine to the concrete. Now, this concrete floor is protected from water, bacteria, and stains.

Concrete is not only durable, but if properly grinded and sealed, it can last up to 100 years! Call Baker’s Floor and Metal to discuss your concrete grinding and sealing project today.
